Why Batam?

This role is based at Caterpillar’s Indonesia Batam facility, a key manufacturing site where we produce Hydraulic Shovels—vital equipment used in infrastructure development and mining to move the materials that help build a better world. What You’ll Experience

Over 24 months, you’ll rotate through four critical functions: Production Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain. You’ll gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from seasoned professionals, and access Caterpillar’s global learning resources—all while contributing to real-world projects that matter.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking recent graduates who are ready to lead and eager to learn:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
• Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Passionate problem-solvers, innovators, and self-starters.
• Willing to relocate to Batam and committed to a full-time, 24-month program.

Selection Process

The selection process begins with the submission of your CV, academic transcript, and cover letter. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a screening based on academic performance and achievements, followed by a technical or aptitude assessment. Finalists will be invited for interviews and a medical checkup before onboarding.

Once selected, you’ll begin your journey through four structured rotations:

• Operations – 6 months
• Manufacturing Engineering – 6 months
• Quality – 6 months
• Supply Chain – 6 months

Each rotation is designed to build your technical capabilities, leadership potential, and cross-functional understanding of Caterpillar’s manufacturing ecosystem.
