Posisi: Quality Supervisor (Incoming)

  • As an Incoming Quality Supervisor at Caterpillar, you will provide support for quality initiatives in facility incoming quality, supplier quality, and materials technology. You will ensure conformity to global quality processes defined in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (CQMS), daily management of quality resources, and ensure resources are trained and competent

As the Incoming Quality Supervisor, you will :

• Accountable for conformity to incoming quality processes and reporting to management on QMS (Quality Management System) process execution
• Setting priorities, establishing review schedules for product and equipment quality control, and managing shop floor quality controllers
• Inspection policies and procedures and supervise the activities of unit personnel
• Responsible for overseeing the execution of processes, plans, and tools that support global quality systems or related processes i.e., Cost of Poor Quality, APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), quality certifications, Caterpillar Quality Management System (CQMS), CAV (Customer Acceptance Validation) etc. You must also ensure alignment with CPS (Caterpillar Production System) principles
• Organize checking, and repair of measurement devices. Conduct initial testing, selection, training, and assessment of quality controllers
• Supervises or manages a work unit of employees where planning, scheduling, training, monitoring, and reviewing work of subordinates is required and is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates

The successful candidate must bring :

• Good proficiency in English
• College or university degree in Engineering/Manufacturing with an excellent understanding of quality management practices or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role with supervisory experience

Top candidates will also bring :

• Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department
• The ability to utilize a variety of computer software packages and basic measurement devices is also necessary

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation) :

• This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment

• Shift: Regular
• Work location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau
• You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.
